Russ was the lead writer for Helldivers 2, a AAA video game for Playstation and PC that took the world by storm, selling over 8 million copies.
His first feature film, Bear with Us (starring Christy Carlson Romano and Cheyenne Jackson), garnered many awards on the festival circuit before being distributed by Comedy Dynamics. It’s now on Amazon Prime and DVD.
His short film, “The Speed of Time” (starring WWE wrestlers John Hennigan and Dolph Ziggler), was described by Andy Weir (author of The Martian) as “"Funny, irreverent, and fast paced. 13 minutes well spent."
“DUST: Horizons,” a sci-fi podcast he helped launch, was the #1 sci-fi podcast on Apple.
Tappity, an education company he co-founded, has over 100,000 users and has inspired budding scientists all across the world.

His short stories have appeared in numerous magazines, and he’s attended the Odyssey Writing Workshop, the Launch Pad Astronomy Workshop, and Taos Toolbox.
